Meet the Team
Jim Funk

Jim Funk, M.S., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Owner and President

Jim Funk has spent much of his career in healthcare human resources, advancing to a Vice President of Human Resources for a large community-based health system in Indiana, and then serving a large faith-based health system as Director of Organizational Development Administration, Sourcing, Human Resource Information Systems, Compensation and Benefits.  For nearly five years, Jim served a large national health system as Director of Executive Formation, where he was responsible for their Executive Formation program for healthcare and physician executives.

Jim’s Leadership and Organizational Development consulting practice includes designing and conducting leadership and physician training programs, performing leadership assessments, organizational culture assessments, career planning, executive and physician coaching, and strategic planning using appreciative inquiry.  Jim conducts workshops, retreats and formation programs for physician groups, hospitals, health systems and other organizations. He co-created a peer-to-peer clinician development program that continues to be presented across Indiana by one of his clients. He is also a keynote speaker for organizations in areas of organizational culture and leadership.

Jim graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana.  He earned his Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Indiana University/Purdue University at Indianapolis, and completed the Strategic Human Resource Management course at Harvard University.  He completed the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) program with World at Work, attained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) designation, and became certified in Organizational Development through National Training Labs (NTL). Jim is a graduate of the Executive Ministry Leadership Formation program offered through Ascension Health and the Aquinas Institute of Theology, St. Louis, MO.  He also completed the 2-Year program in Formation Theology, Science and Anthropology through the Epiphany Association (Pittsburgh, PA).
